I now write a regular column about the craft of writing for the wonderful literary journal The Madrid review.

Co-writing sessions are focused, silent time to work on your own writing project whilst connecting with fellow writers. We gather in a bookshop to write in community, alone but together. Full details on my website!

"Saying I’m a writer can be quite a loaded statement..." - The lovely people at The Madrid Review interviewed me about an upcoming writing event in Madrid that I'm hosting.

I'm a member of the wonderful London Writers' Salon and I was Prose Editor for the annual Writing in Community anthology in 2023 and 2024. I am also co-host of the Literary Fiction Room, helping and engaging community members in discussion and learning at the intersection of what we read and what we write.

I was selected as a first reader for entries to the 2022 Highland Book Prize. The prize celebrates ‘the finest published work that recognises the rich talent, landscape, and cultural diversity of the Scottish Highlands.’ It is open to work in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.

I participated in this event - a showcase of award-winning writers from around the world who have studied on the MSt in Creative Writing at the University of Oxford - by giving a reading.

The Hungry Chapter was a multimedia project hosted via social media and live events which explored food writing and sensory memory. I provided the vignettes and hosted the creative writing workshops.

As part of the Transnational Literature and Writing Conference: Follow the Sun, 28th-30th January, 2021 - I gave a 15 minute reading of an extract from a creative nonfiction essay called 'Noise', followed by a Q&A.

I conducted an interview with Pico Iyer for the now defunct Litro Magazine podcast, produced by Inés Labarta. In the interview Pico and I discussed the Japanese ‘art island’ of Naoshima, an ultra-modern installation with its roots deeply in the past.
