I am a fiction writer and essayist. I hold a Master's in Creative Writing, with distinction, from the University of Oxford. I have explored various topics in my stories and essays, such as language and identity, fibroids and orthodontics. My work has been published - in English and Spanish - in magazines and anthologies in the UK, Australia, the USA and Spain. I have been nominated for the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award. Coming soon, in June 2025, a collection of my essays and short stories will be published by Modern Odyssey Books. I write a regular column about the craft of writing for The Madrid Review.

I am the in-house development editor at Modern Odyssey Books. Previously, I worked as an editor at Santillana, a large publisher based in Madrid, Spain. For one year, I was Visiting Professor at Bath Spa University, working as a volunteer editor on the journal Transnational Literature. I am part of the peer review panel for the Artist’s Book Yearbook, published annually by Book Arts at the University of the West of England, Bristol. I am co-host of the Literary Fiction Room at the London Writers' Salon, helping and engaging community members in discussion and learning at the intersection of what we read and what we write.

For one year I was the creative nonfiction editor at Litro Magazine and in 2019 I completed an editorial internship at Creative Nonfiction magazine, based in Pittsburgh, USA. I also worked as a mentor with Fusion Arts, giving sessions to young people in vulnerable situations who are interested in creative writing. I was a volunteer first reader for the Highland Book Prize for the 2022 awards.

I am from the UK but I currently live in Madrid.
